The mall being located in the emerging city of Guwahati- the commercial hub of north east India, where trends of contemporary modernism is being reflected within the lifestyle of recent generations, with positive vibes, the mall tries to capture the essence and thus act as a catalyst in fostering their thoughts and lifestyle. Being a place for public recreation, one of the major challenge was to integrate the outdoor public spaces with the indoor so as to create a seamless interaction within the duo, a pattern embedded within the regional settlements in varied scales, a strategy thought attracting the people, envisioning a vibrant public space. The complex in general being a culmination of different functional activities, some needs segregation whereas the other needs integration, crafting the desired pattern was a challenge, and been achieved by series of strategies of segregation and integration in both horizontal and vertical scale.
